Maria Tecla Artemesia Montessori (August 31, 1870 – May 6, 1952) was an Italian physician and educator, a noted humanitarian and devout Roman Catholic best known for the philosophy of education that bears her name, and her writing on scientific pedagogy. Her educational method is in use today in public and private schools throughout the world.

Her attention to self guided play, to embodied cognition and self regulation are innovative even today and can inform educators and individuals working in groups.

Montessori is a darling to Silicon Valley, as many of the top brass of the valley have been educated under her methods. But the tale of Montessori doesn’t need to end with education.

I believe that the principles of Montessori education can be useful to create better work environments. Below you can find some of the articles where I have explained how this can happen.
