Speaking Fluently and Confidently Is an Essential Presentation Skill – Part 29

Written by Matteo Cassese

If you don’t control completely the language of your presentation, you’re doing a disservice to your topic, you are giving a bad deal to your audience, and altogether you’re putting your presentation in great danger.

The status quo may be poor, and everyday we hear bad presentations, and those bad presentations are often done by non-native speakers. The fact that everyone around us is making the same mistake doesn’t make it right.

I give you two options: You can ask for a translator or you can select a crowd that speaks a different language.

Always present in the language that you master, that you control, where you feel more confident. This will boost your delivery in a way that nothing else can. No matter how much you work on your storytelling, no matter how much you work on your slide design, this will all go to waste if you are not proficient with the language

Summary:

  • You must master the language if you are looking for excellence in presentation delivery

Who is Matteo Cassese?

Hi! I’m a marketing consultant and an enthusiastic entrepreneur with experience working for multinational companies (Warner Bros.), teaching at a university (Link Campus University), and consulting for entertainment companies (Netflix). I’m a scholar of storytelling and have dug deep into screenwriting techniques, mythology, and trans-media narratives. This passion is translated in the simple structure template that you get in all my courses. In my free time I enjoy driving cars (fast).
