The Right Way to Rehearse a Presentation – Part 26

Written by Matteo Cassese

Now you have the whole presentation in front of you for the first time and what you have to do is: you have to rehearse it. But don’t just rehearse it, take out a stopwatch and measure exactly how long it takes to deliver the presentation and to deliver each section of the presentation.

How does it flow?
Do you have some space?
Do you have some time to breathe?
Or is it so compact that you have to go quickly over some of the topics?
Or is it even the case that you have too many slides and too many talking points and you still have to cut some of them?

Summary:

  • Rehearse, but do it with a stopwatch to understand the timing of your presentation

Who is Matteo Cassese?

Hi! I’m a marketing consultant and an enthusiastic entrepreneur with experience working for multinational companies (Warner Bros.), teaching at a university (Link Campus University), and consulting for entertainment companies (Netflix). I’m a scholar of storytelling and have dug deep into screenwriting techniques, mythology, and trans-media narratives. This passion is translated in the simple structure template that you get in all my courses. In my free time I enjoy driving cars (fast).
