Rimetti a noi i nostri debiti

Sabato scorso, noi delle Officine Tolau, eravamo a Roma, a seguire la manifestazione degli Indignados. Eravamo lì – telecamere in spalla e microfoni aperti – per girare il nostro nuovo documentario:  ”Rimetti a noi i nostri debiti”, il racconto di questo movimento, dei suoi sogni, le rivendicazioni, le novità, il cuore.

Ce lo ha commissionato Pippo Civati, in qualità di responsabile del Forum Nazionale del Pd “Nuovi linguaggi e nuove culture”. Pippo ci aveva già chiesto l’anno scorso di collaborare con lui, commissionandoci un documentario per raccontare  il Movimento 5 Stelle. Quel racconto è diventato il documentario “A furor di popolo“.

Quello che vedete qui è solo il trailer del documentario sugli Indignados, che pubblicheremo online entro fine novembre, ma crediamo che sia già un buon indicatore, in termini di contenuti, di quello che sarà il risultato finale. Il trailer sarà proiettato in piazza Maggiore a Bologna sabato 22 e domenica 23 ottobre nel corso della manifestazione “Il nostro tempo“, promosso da Pippo Civati e Deborah Serracchiani.

A Roma sappiamo tutti com’è andata. Il mondo dell’informazione, (quasi) inevitabilmente, si è concentrato solo sulla cronaca degli scontri. Ma siatene certi, c’è anche un’altra storia da raccontare, che non ha niente a che fare con la violenza. Ha a che fare con l’idea di un Paese diverso. Che noi proveremo a raccontare.

There seems to be a global-scale protest underway. People, mostly young people, are bypassing the institutional voting system to try to force change through decentralized adhocracy and anarchy. The world saw something similar in the 1960s when student protests erupted in Europe and the US and the Americas all at the same time. Now the scope of the protests are even wider, more global, reaching from Arab Africa, to the Mid East, to East Asia, to the the heartland of Europe and the US.
